Hamas Elections Denounced By Democracy

I want to write about the future of Palestine

For I am concerned at this point of time

The present does not bode well for us

We are in a predicament, we are in a mess

In our insecurity we have crumpled

In our confused state we have mumbled

Expressed an incoherent message

As our future was a sealed presage  

You see we held fair and honest elections

And the party with the most votes had redemptions

Hamas redeemed its entire good works

As the voters presented their candidates with perks

And yet Democratic nations rejected democracy

This does not make sense, this is crazy

And so international funds were cut off

And reactions were expressed in a huff

Elections were not acceptable to the West

Because they did not think it was best

Best for them as they were defeated

Their Party, Fatah, was deleted

Is this justice I ask you?

Can this be democracy too?

It is what many call hypocrisy?

It is everything beyond crazy
